Southern Swell

The Southern Swell has arrived! Finally the waves are building. Excitement is flowing through the house. Fu can barely contain himself. There’s electricity in the air (can’t say the same for the wires!).
Gong Gong

We were dropped off in the foothills of a small village and started on a path that would lead us far aay from the evils of Babylon to a place called gong gong.
We hiked for about 2 hours until we started to see massive piles of dessicated cane shoots. This was the sure sign that we were nearly there, nearly to the place where they make grog all day and all night.

Yesterday was a whirlwind of events and emotions. After spending the entire plane ride asleep, getting off in another country was entirely surreal. In a lot of ways, being on the plane was the best place for me to be right now - i didn’t have to interact, I could just reflect on what my life has been like for the past five weeks. I can’t believe where life has taken me in...
